Okay, so last year I made the choice to eat healthy and get fit. It started out pretty well and I managed to lose about fifteen pounds. But then I started to get sick. I spent the most part of 2012 really sick and in the hospital. First it was dengue, then pneumonia and then other respiratory problems. Because of this I wasnt able to work out like I wanted to. But I didnt let that stop me. I promised myself that if I could work out, I would. But if I couldnt, I wouldnt deter from my decision to be healthy. While maybe I wasnt completely healthy because I was sick, I do consider I was healthy most of 2012. Why? Because I at healthy. I started eating more fruits and veggies. I started eating more fiber and proteins, less processed foods, etc.
Out of all the eating changes I made throughout the year, the one I’m most proud of (because I thought it would be the hardest) was that I stopped drinking sodas. As of February 1st, 2012 I havent touched a soda. So now that it’s February 2013 I wanted to celebrate it. I made it a whole year without soda and I’m very proud of myself.
February also marks another milestone for me. In February 2011, I promised myself I wouldnt eat any more fast food. And I havent. It’s been 2 years, and I’m extremely happy and proud about it.
I’m writing this post for myself and to my followers. I want to remind myself and anyone else that reads this, that even if you have set backs, you don’t lose until you quit. And while I was sick and unable to workout most of the year, I made other healthy choices.
